The museum covers 25,000 square meters. It includes exhibition and education spaces as well as a library.

In addition to hosting exhibitions, the museum is expected to be an archeology center for Zhejiang University students and hopes to offer cultural education to the public.

Three exhibitions are now underway at the museum.
