After eight years of construction, Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archeology was officially opened at the university’s Zijingang Campus recently.

The museum covers 25,000 square meters. It includes exhibition and education spaces as well as a library.

In addition to hosting exhibitions, the museum is expected to be an archeology center for Zhejiang University students and hopes to offer cultural education to the public.

Three exhibitions are now underway at the museum.

One highlight is a stone tablet of engraved calligraphy from Yan Zhenqing, a leading calligrapher from the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907).
