More than 200 works from an important private European collection are offered in the upcoming auction. Over several decades, the collector managed to acquire almost a complete anthology of the Ecole de Paris. The appearance of the works of such high quality at the auction is an exceptional chance for art connoisseurs to obtain significant and rare pieces, most with estimates below £15,000.
Furthermore, among the top lots there are a wonderful still life by G. Annenkov (£15,000-20,000), Parisian Street by the avantgarde artist J. Pougny (£20,000-30,000), a rare early work by S. Charchoune Moulin à eau à Ploumanac’h (£ 10,000-20,000) from the collection of the Raymond Creuze Gallery, and a cityscape Nice (£20,000-30,000) by L. Survage. A. Lanskoy is represented by several works, among them L’éclat de rire £10,000-15,000), in which the colour lines are as though intermixed in a jazz rhythm.
