“China On Wheels,” a special exhibition of homegrown automobiles, opened at Shanghai Auto Museum on Thursday.
The exhibition will run till January 6. Major automobile brands from China put around 20 classic cars on display. Among them are the 1959 Hongqi CA72 and 1974 Shanghai SH760A.
The exhibition also provides insight into the progress and innovation of the automobile industry in China, as well as its influence on people’s lives.
In addition to domestic cars, the exhibition also displays a vintage Skoda VOS, a gift from the government of Czechoslovakia in 1952.
Other events and activities for visitors include lectures on automotive topics and DIY textile printing and dyeing.
